Customizing your Ceremony
Every ceremony does not have to look and sound the same. With your help I can customize the ceremony to fit you as a couple. That is where a chat over Facetime or Skype really helps. I offer many creative suggestions to help us work together on a meaningful and memorable wedding ceremony. Maybe you have a favorite poem or verse that says something to you as a couple. If you have children, of course we can include them in the ceremony, uniting you all as a family.
Please ask me about these special enhancements to your wedding ceremony:
Handfasting: Celtic lands formerly recognized handfasting as a marriage, just as binding as one performed in a church. The ancient practice of handfasting gave us the phrases “Tying the knot” and “The Bonds of Matrimony."
Love Letter & Wine Box Ceremony: For those of you who have never seen this before, this box contains a bottle of wine and a love letter from each to the other. The letters describe the good qualities they find in one another, the reasons they fell in love, and their hopes for their future together. To be opened on your anniversary as you sip the wine.
Candle Lighting Ceremony: This is a lovely way of signifying the joining of two families as one.
Celtic Oathing Stone: Many years ago a couples believed that when you pledged an oath near stone, your promise is written in stone.
Commitment Ceremony: Some couples are unable to have a legally acknowledged wedding for varying reasons. A Commitment ceremony is a wonderful way of declaring their love, and their desire to stay together always.
